Thank you for this encouraging article. If it were not for the too many deaf, dumb and blind voters, Canad would not have had two miscreant prime ministers in a row - both narcissistic self serving mean who are the cause of this country’s slow slide into failure.

IMO Carney suffers from a small man syndrome.

Narcissistic small man syndrome.

Bullseye, James. Perfectly observed and stated.

Oh so true. This guy is riding Canada into destruction. He's using our tax $ to enrich himself and his cronies while he does it.

And many of his cronies are in China. I have no idea why so many Canadians do not realize the threat that China poses to their sovereignty.

It is truly bewildering.

Not, "Is Mark Carney dragging us into a swamp of despair?" but WHY is Mark Carney dragging us into a swamp of despair?

I would think there is a different plan than what is stated or assumed. We are clearly not working in the direction most imagine or using traditional approaches but instead seem to be ragging the puck, stalling for time for some unstated purpose. We are not being levelled with as to what their true intentions or vision is and what the road there looks like.

I imagine they are stalling for the American midterms and hoping for a particular result believing that will help them in negotiations. Massive shifts would need to be happening right now if these guys were serious about the things they say they are and even with those massive shifts we would be looking at longshot odds for this country. The reality is, nothing of great significance or substance is happening and we are being pacified in our despair. We are continuing to waste time and resources going down a failing path instead of acknowledging mistakes and doing the hard work to give the country a shot. We also need to accept that the Canada that is in many people's heads only exists in your memories and as the cultural shifts from immigration play out over time it will certainly get interesting.

I wounder why no one is concerned or talking about the very low Canadian $ .70 to the US $. That should wake everyone up that Carney is lying about the economy better than the US.

Another great article for sure however with so many voters that trust the government(tax payer) funded media for their news they believe he its the saviour. More like the Pied Piper . Oops would that be hate speech?

Carney is rotten, and we in Canada are in serious trouble, of all kinds.

Best commentary yet. Thanks.

Kanadastan is going to be treated like the Cuba North that it is and rightly so. While the USA takes action to rid the Western Hemisphere of the evils of Communism, Komrade Karney and his Marxist army embrace the PRC/CCP and of course the EU.

Not to mention the "Muslim values are Canadian values" comment, while Trump is purging the Somalian fraud rings.

All that's left to do is cut off the flow of oil from Alberta. After all, the USA has Venezuela energy now.

Elbows Up!!

Wow, James, you are very thorough and succinct in your writing. Good observations, thank you.

I am paying close attention to the energy topics, but specifically, the recent, huge push on 'heat pumps' on new home builds. My sister purchased one 2 years ago and hearing the results it actually yields, compared to the expectations given during the sales pitch, it isn't exactly what it seems. In any case, the increased electrical demands placed on the hydro grid by these units will definitely call for supplementary power sources, and can you just hear Carney, wringing his hands as the 'mini-nuke' Westinghouse nuclear generators are considered? Natural gas, its appliances and separate A/C units are still most effective, where natural gas is available (most urban centers). But Carney would have you believe otherwise, with these insufficient heat pumps he is pushing and the subsequent possible decrease in natural gas consumption.
