In 1997 in the Delgamuukw case our own Supreme Court decided that the pursuit of its vision of “reconciliation” must supersede the pursuit of justice when dealing with indigenous claims. This reckless decision set us on a course that is ending the certainty of title - the bedrock of any liberal democracy- as well as ruining our economy. Meanwhile, the lifespan of indigenous men has now fallen to 60. - 20 years shorter than all other Canadian men. As Peter Best writes, it is time to end this disastrous experiment and make all men and women equal under the law.

i WISH i could print this article out first of all --- second of All, I was brought to this country, so what do I have to see? well, I grew up here naive about this country, a young lady , mother and now grandmother.--- came here from Europe on the airplane with our parents, I guess this was their answer Canada --

What is wrong with Canada you only have to read history -- Loyalists came here from the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA -- why because there was a war, and some Americans wanted independence from the King -- well those that love the King --- came here -- and its been down hill from there.

Why would Canada still love a Monarchy and what happened to the Bill of Rights by John Diefenbaker, sounds like he had the logic to thwart Communism... So how did the communist Trudeau hijack the Bill of Rights --- because this piece of Charter which we thought was our sound constitution like USA is no! it is a means to control us. Americans knew that governments can go roque, and they were smart enough to make a constitution as WE THE PEOPLE.. Canada has too many people that don't care, its a vast country and now we are divided because the Indigenous don't care - they seem to be getting a lot more privileges than us!
