When my wife's family immigrated to Canada from Holland after the war, they had to have sponsors. Thanks to smirky face and his fancy socks, the sponsor requirement was thrown out the window and the doors were thrown wide open inviting everyone and his brother to enter Canada without any basic requirements. Much too little too late.
One would have to be brain dead to not reliably predict the very and highly negative effect we see unfolding today. Canada went from having one of the best immigration policies and practices producing a growing but integrated population to this unsustainable, divisive, destructive, and seemingly uncontrollable foreign invasive gong show today. And we're supposed to call this result 'progressive'.

I don't understand why people focus on Justin Trudeau and his comment about our being a post-national country -- he was stating a verifiable fact. Before him PM Harper and his side-kick Pierre Poilievre told us no less than 3 times that he had traded our sovereignty (and nation) for trade deals with the Chinese. That meant he traded our nation outright to the Chinese. Then he passed legislation allowing the Chinese to stand a 100,000 soldier army on Canadian soil and to establish Chinese Police Stations. Do we really have that short a memory?
If you are waiting for the foreign corporation United nations to stop orchestrating our demise, you will wait a long time, since it operates quietly in the background through charities, NGOs and George Soros-funded terrorist groups such as ANTIFA and BLM. Now there is TRANSTIFA that is affliated with ANTIFA, resulting in horrific mass shootings of school children and of decent people like Charlie Kirk.
Very, very few Canadians actually know who is behind this because they don't know the the corporation CANADA transferred control of our land to the corporate United Nations in 1985. So it is easy to think that everything is Mr. Fancy Sock's fault. But EVERY successive government has been working for the world government for over a century...this was all planned and that is why it is happening across the world simultaneously.

It's not enough to want to do something. We must know who is behind this (its been a long time coming) and learn that we have actually been legally free of these corporate enslavements since 1931. There will be a Series on property theft, including all our private property titles, ownership of our children, pensions, etc. And then will come the undisputable proof that there never was a Constitution or Charter and the corporation masquerading as 'government' has been swindling us for over 150 years.
Relating to car jackings, during Trump’s first term when Haitians were claiming refugee status in Canada because they thought he’d be sending them back to Haiti, I came across information on Haiti and Haitians on a Gov Can website. It mentionedthat car hijacking was something to be concerned about by travellers to that country. It also mentioned the higher than average unemployment rate among Haitians living here, with men having a higher rate than women. Sometime afterwards I read that Ontario was experiencing an explosion of hijackings. Naturally, I wondered if those events were related.
On an unrelated (but nevertheless related) note, I peer at the ten faces and names in the photo and ask myself if these are Canadians. Apparently the answer is yes.
Now if I look at faces of my comparatively crime-free generation, not a single one is non-European nor a name unpronounceable. What a mess.

At some point I need to buy a new vehicle, probably an SUV for the family and I will think twice about buying any kind of expensive vehicle to park in my driveway in Ottawa with the strong likelihood of it being stolen. I may be forced to buy used or buy small - this behavior on my part is driven by crime so I AM affected, directly.

The culprits are not the 22 cal rifles or 12 gauge shot guns that every rural home possessed but the trendy handguns so popularized by the so called American hip hop gangsters that create the image that so many young men crave.
