The first time I reported on David Todor was in September of 2023 when he gave a rousing speech warning of the dangers of gender ideology in the Canadian education system to parents at the 1 Million March 4 Children protest. In 2024 I wrote about David’s parents rights activism and featured some of the delegations he gave at Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) meetings (he has two daughters enrolled in WRDSB schools). Also in 2024, David contributed a piece to this newsletter called The Child Grooming Process where he summarized the “seven steps of grooming” and drew alarming parallels to the policies of the WRDSB and other Canadian school boards.
In 2025 David contributed another piece, this time as part of our popular “Yes, Schools are (doing something awful)” series. I wrote the first one in 2023: Yes, schools are indoctrinating kids!. Then Scott Miller put together an essay/photo tour of the University of Toronto: Yes, The University is an Indoctrination Camp!. David’s was the third in the series: Yes, Schools are Transitioning Kids! — this was the only piece in Woke Watch Canada history to be taken down by Substack.
In an apparent attempt to silence us, someone, most likely from the WRDSB, complained about David’s use of WRDSB documents, photos, and other education materials. Substack initially took down Yes, Schools are Transitioning Kids!. They cited copyright infringement. I challenged the claim and let Substack know that David only used publicly available materials that he retrieved from WRDSB school or board websites. The challenge was successful and the piece was restored.
In January of this year, David contributed another piece which detailed over a year’s worth of correspondence between him and the Ontario Ministry of Education. His concerns and questions regarding the use of tax-payer money to fund activist medical organizations in schools for the most part went unanswered. As he explained, “communicating with the Ministry was nearly impossible. Phone calls went nowhere. Emails were generic and anonymous. No one identified themselves. There was no way to build an ongoing conversation or even know who I was speaking to.”
Feeling “dismissed” and “ignored,” David filed multiple Ombudsman complaints. He later filed a freedom of information request and got his hands on the internal emails. He discovered that, “the Ministry knows exactly what is happening in schools. This isn’t ignorance or oversight. It is active promotion…what they are enabling amounts to child abuse.”
While many have the instinct to turn away in disgust, or throw their hands up in frustration at the radical gender movement embraced by Canadian schools from K-12, David rolls up his sleeves and engages in some of the most disturbing and distasteful work imaginable. His activism, inspired by the daughters he loves and protects, is beyond just a dirty job, it’s a damn near impossible one.
David’s latest efforts combatting the shocking incursion of transgenderism and radical gender theory into the school system in Canada can be read in a detailed and comprehensive 73-page report he has put together called Evidence of Institutional Failure in Child Safeguarding: A Consolidated Report on Ontario’s Education System (download the full report below).
David’s “consolidated” report brings together three “interrelated, testimony-based reports examining concerns related to governance, safeguarding, and accountability within Ontario’s publicly funded education system.” The first two reports document David’s correspondence and investigative findings concerning school boards and the Ontario Ministry of Education. The third report presents “the public testimony and professional perspective of Ontario educator Carolyn Burjoski” — the WRDSB teacher who was cancelled in 2022 for objecting to age-inappropriate books with sexualized content being included in elementary and middle school libraries and classrooms. Burjoski the badass has since been vindicated!
In toto, these reports examine an ugly thing most of us would prefer to ignore, or dismiss in disgust. But what David has uncovered can neither be ignored nor dismissed. If there exists a “school-to-medical pathway affecting minors,” it would certainly require a critical mass of people unwilling or unable to accept the truth of it, in order for it to continue to operate. In addition to this apparent widespread complacency, radical gender policies are in schools because radical activists — leftists who target children and the vulnerable — agitate for them to be there. These policies amount to experimenting on children, sometimes with confusing, destabilizing social processes, other times, more destructively, transgender processes and a pathway that eventuates to hormonal interventions and irreversible surgeries which sterilize and butcher healthy young bodies.
Imagine a world where elementary and middle schools simply do not ever bring up issues of sexual identity, or offer pathways which lead to unimaginable regret. Why do we think it’s absurd to celebrate the sexual identities of heterosexual people? While the Left would argue that straight people have no reason to celebrate because they have never been oppressed, the truth is, straight people do not feel the need to hinge their identity on their sexual preference, as they view this kind of thing a shallow exercise.
Imagine if in this other better world we thought it best to simply teach children to accept one another regardless of our many differences. Differences that we felt no need to trifle over, or obsess on. Because, and it’s always worth grounding things a little with this somewhat pique reminder: schools are actually meant to be all about academic development, but all of this auxiliary preoccupation with identity is unhealthy and unhelpful. Parents definitely don’t want it. Maybe their desires are nothing more than a fairytale or pipe-dream, but parents yearn for a world containing schools where the “back to basics” approach we were promised in Ontario — but didn’t get — is a norm taken as a given, as the absolute best practice, as something that would be crazy not to do.
We will never have anything of the sort if we don’t fight tooth and nail for it. The first step is to not avert our eyes, but instead, like David Todor and Carolyn Burjoski, stare directly into the face of evil, the very one that hides in plain sight at our children’s schools. Many readers of this newsletter are under no spells or illusions concerning experimental practices like gender-affirming care, however please go through David’s report and pass it on to others whose eyes may not be as open to the issue as yours. With greater awareness of the dangerous and experimental nature of radical gender ideology, more parents and concerned citizens will express the outrage it naturally inspires and demand an end to the madness. Our children deserve better.

Such great work. David is a hero.
Send the report to every Ontario MPP. The PCs have been the government since 2018. Ford should go for this alone.
