There MUST come a day when the deceitfulness stops and accountability for these claims by providing actual physical EVIDENCE begins. Conducting a PROPER thorough investigation by the RCMP with teams of forensic archaeologists on site in full view of reporters at the outset of the May 27th 2021 allegations would've added weight to these claims by the Kamloops Band of a crime so heinous that's increasingly caused further overwhelming divisions between cultures and by blaming a religion for this alleged crime, has contributed to the burning of churches. It is the DUTY of The Globe and Mail's reporters and editors and that of EVERY news affiliate across Canada that it's reporters thoroughly investigate and fact check their information making certain that what is written cannot be taken out of context so as to avoid lawsuits accusing said news affiliates of libel and slander, prior to releasing stories ESPECIALLY one as controversial as this. By providing fact-based evidence of blatant discrepancies in the Globe's reportage and what amounts to serious editorial misconduct noted in today's article, the author here is doing what every journalist is supposedly trained to do, yet the field continues to fail miserably at, which is to dive deep and not stop until the truth is revealed IF it ever can be. At what point will everyone involved in this debacle that placed Canada in an untenable position on the world stage of having committed cultural genocide, that included a former Prime Minister's brutal photo-op that helped to further smear this country's reputation and escalate divisions in cultures, admit mistakes have been made? There never was a RCMP investigation because they never found any evidence of any crimes to justify an investigation. The RCMP did open a case file pending further info (which remains open to this date) and theoretically they could initiate an investigation if sufficient evidence came to light. But as it stands, the RCMP have not seen any human remains, have not been shown any unmarked burials, and they do not have any missing child reports concerning the former Kamloops IRS.
The RCMP are doing their due diligence until they can be absolutely sure that there is no substance to the claim of 215/200 missing children secretly buried in the orchard. That absolute assurance will probably only come after excavation but if Tk'emlups withdrew their police complaint, the RCMP could close the file. The RCMP do not have grounds to take control of the area and order excavations. This whole farce could be resolved if we had a federal Justice Minister with the decency to order excavations on land that is under federal jurisdiction.
Why would any law enforcement agency go chasing a non-existent 'crime'? They have real crimes to unravel.
What the RCMP needs to chase is the crime of extortion, fraud and money-laundering by this Aboriginal Industry...now that's a crime that needs investigating.
The last thing we need is another 'inquiry' because no one can be prosecuted for any crime discussed at an 'inquiry'. That's why they always hold 'inquiries' instead of demanding a full and exhaustive law enforcement investigation and charges to follow if the accusations were false.

This and other sources (like the 2023 Fifth Estate documentary) make it clear that the plan to scan the apple orchard had been taken unilaterally and pretty much in secret by a few individuals in the Language and Culture Department. There was obviously some urgent ‘smoothing over’ to be done after-the-fact, when other leading lights in the Kamloops band – and other bands – realized they hadn’t been consulted ahead of time, or had any say in how the news was communicated to the world. I just heard Chief Willie Sellars interviewed on CBC about the “sacred fire” being held today (May 25) at Williams Lake to acknowledge the 5th anniversary of the Kamloops announcement (of “potential unmarked graves” is how the CBC host framed it). Sellars didn’t speak about graves or evidence, but straw-manned about people arguing that residential schools were a “good thing” that had “saved” indigenous people, how they certainly hadn’t “saved” his father and it had taken Sellars years to reconcile with his father (because of the damage done to him in the schools, ostensibly). And so forth.
Then, interestingly, the CBC host wrapped up by saying, “Our CBC colleagues had booked an interview today with Tk’emlups chief Rosanne Casimir, but we’ve just learned that she has cancelled that interview.”
This grand deception being created in real time right under our noses is all part and parcel of the war against our people, i.e. the people of European ancestry. The Natives are being instrumentalized in this war against us. Little do they understand that they will not be treated any better by the proxy army ("immigrants") being brought into Canada through the wide open borders.
