Yet in schools this century the self-anointed woke gurus walk around with the lofty term cultural appropriation on their lips. They think it’s bad to draw ideas from Indigenous culture, and vice versa — which is why decolonialism is de rigeur. Cultural appropriation is a good thing. Colonialism in the form of new ideas flowing to less advanced cultures is a good thing.
