Thank you James for giving a voice to parents across Canada, since I started this journey on September 19th God keeps showing me how much can be accomplished by speaking with people of different opinions, cultures and sexual orientation. What I'm still shocked at is the reluctance for GECDSB to practice what they preach in Justice, Inclusion, Equity and Diversity. I'll keep praying for God to remove the scales from their eyes and soften their hearts for all Children in GECDSB.

There are some highpoints of this piece, I like the statistical numbers pertaining to Christian demographics, church burnings and the rise in anti-Christian hate in Canada. However, you also mention that "26% of GECDSB community are LGBTQ" - does that mean 26% of the communities that send their kids to the 68 schools operating under this school board are LGBT? Is this number incorrect or is this the freaking twilight zone? It's the freaking twilight zone either way.
As I watch these clips, it seems to me that the board is certainly displaying frustration, however it becomes obvious that they are frustrated because Qin has a long history of bringing up topics which have already been heard and ruled on and deemed off the table for future discussion. I'm not saying she is wrong to employ the tactics she does, maybe she is correct on a certain level.
However I think it is a mistaken tact for us to then call this anti-Asian racism. She is being judged on her actions, not on her identity. Let's not buy a ticket to the victim Olympics, the victim Olympics is booming, doesn;t need another ticket buyer.
I agree that this is not necessarily obvious anti-Asian racism, but according to the standards set by school boards - which is all about de-centering whiteness to give historically marginalized more voice, it is (or would be interpreted that way if Trustee Qin were black or indigenous). I also can understand that they may have been frustrated, but they didn't let her speak for more than 30 seconds. If Trustee Qin were breaking the rules, a reasonable amount of time (3 to 5 minutes) could have been given to hear her out, and then she could have been given a respectful explanation. I would rather there be no accusations of racism in schools at all. There should be codes of conduct and policies that apply in a blanket fashion to all people equally. I call this particular case anti-Asian racism because I want to see the woke eat themselves alive. This may be one such situation. Although it is unlikely that an anti-Asian racism will stick - it would if the political poles were reversed (if Trustee Qin had been arguing for woke polices, and the other white trustees treated her like that while arguing against woke policies - it would have been considered it racism). Colour blindness isn't enough, political blindness is needed too - but we have neither. Identity and political affiliation is the only thing considered. We have identity politics. I guess you can say my recommendation is to fight fire with fire...but I realize that might mean that everything will burn. Which would not be good.
Hi Mr. M the 28% came from student data on a police survey, we are doing our student census starting April 11 ending May 11, I really am interested in the data from it, I will share in an article once I have it, I am hoping all parents do this survey so we may get a stronger vision on the actual percentages, I was shocked to see the snippet of 676 students to show Christian children are not the most represented.
As far as Linda we have been speaking on these books since November 2022, I will be writing an article, she's only bringing the books left that they have not answered on, as well had data to share on a book that Patsy Copus spoke on and was attacked check my first article, Linda wanted to give that information but that is when the show started. As far as the flag yes it was turned down, but she wanted to make a motion to review or ammend our current policy. Yes and Linda does not want to claim racism she's a gentle soul and still speaks highly of Ron LeClair. I have the same opinion on all Trustees their, problem is their actions and they way they interact on items they dismiss brought to them from parents.

I'm hoping she will just keep asking the questions and if the board is frustrated because some subjects keep coming up, perhaps they could deal with the matters appropriately and in a mature manner.

Please email trustees, show Linda support and also express concerns with the lack of respect the others show her. Linda was VOTED in- for a second term- for a reason. WE THE PEOPLE want her there!
Thing is Christians are persecuted around the world and only a white supremacist Eurocentric racist anti religious progressive would rigidly cast Christians as the oppressor. The diversity fascists don’t consider the Muslim perspective I guess. I’m mixed race and I never believed racism and bigotry went away and I see I was right. Thank you for this excellent article.

When I had children in school in the 90s to early 2000s I never paid attention to school boards and trustees and whatever they're called out here in BC, but I also don't think this kind of BS was going on, at least to this degree. I now have grandchildren, not in school yet, but I have certainly been telling my daughters they will need to pay attention to who they vote for. or find a charter school that doesn't ascribe to this. These people are drunk on power. Absolute power does in fact corrupt absolutely. Do these elected officials actually have any job qualifications? I bet they don't.

It has been carte blanche for the Social Justice militants pushing unconventional, deviant sexuality with little kids.
Of course bullying is unacceptable and can not be permitted anywhere. However Qin should have known you can't fly a religious flag at a public school and apart from Board rules, the reason should be obvious. It is divisive. Putting up any religious flag is a symbol of primacy of one religion over another which in a pluralistic society, is an act of intolerance. As Thomas Jefferson once said, " I never will, by any word or act, bow to the shrine of intolerance or admit a right of inquiry into the religious opinions of others."
