The article is wonderful for me, a teacher struggling for a fair appraisal of history in schools.
Excellent summary. I taught Canadian social studies at the elementary level and students loved to debate and research these issues. The textbooks back then were much more positive and honest about indigenous and European interactions and challenged students to think critically.
