Zachary made an excellent presentation. He is the kind of person who should be running for the Board
in the next election. However, unless there are several like minded board members he will become the
target for the DEI mob that is taking over boards everywhere. The media has strengthened the voices of these mindless activists who spread the DEI message as if it were some new truth.
He spared no punches and characterized DEI as a “Marxist or Communist program.” In his closing words, Zachary informs the council that they can no longer “feign ignorance about the true nature of DEI.”
I applaud the effort of this dedicated parent to try to make a difference with his school board but it is likely another "spitting in the wind" exercise which will only result in frustration at the end of the day. Progressive thought and action are not characteristic of a cabal of inert people that typically make up the composition of a Board. Any meaningful change will only come about by hammering the head of the snake, which in this case is the Director of Education. Public embarrassment thru the media is a well know elixir for this remedy.
This is a great initiative. I wonder if this is the kind of statement and delegation that can and should be made to every school board in Ontario? This is giving me some ideas.
Well said, the term used by these self same people against ordinary white folks " Colononial" is in my considered opinion a racial slur that is in itself a hateful word yet they continue to use it with impunity, I like many others would not ever refer to them as wagon burners or black bastards yet they feel quite free to insult Canadians in our own country,
Well, "colonial" and "settler." "Settler" is not a mere descriptive word any longer. It is another divisive word. If it ever was, it's no longer neutral. It comes freighted with original sin, an expanding catalogue of shame and guilt; it is linked to genocide with little prospect of forgiveness. That's where we are. And yet those words are used with impunity by, yes, racists. It's just another word, like genocide, that has morphed in its meaning -- like "reconciliation".
Colonist, settler, decolonization, post-colonial theory... Not only is it used as a racial slur, but in my mind it's nothing less than the language of sedition and treason. We need to start calling people on that.
Thank you Alison I believe most honest Canadians are aware of this as well as the useless verbal abuse continually thrown at us by our Liar in Chief the less than honorable Prime Fool .
