If a picture is worth a thousand words, your lead photo of the three indigenous marchers speaks volumes of the greed, ingratiation and monstrous entitlement behind the victimhood movement and endless grievance demands of Canada's most vitriolic minority. Frankly, it is sickening to read how much money has been funneled into the bottomless and ever expanding coffers of the Indian industry by the glad hand politics orchestrated in no small part by Justin Trudeau and Jody Wilson- Raybould. Of course the word, "reparations" is used, but the more appropriate word is "plunder". None of this blatant nonsense will change until we have a government that will stand up and say enough is enough.

"So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell: 'I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take this anymore!...........Peter Finch, Network, 1976"

The tax payer needs to understand that the Government is not paying this bill neither is the courts, the corporate elite as well as Corporations are not paying this. The unemployed of course will not pay a cent and neither will the Indians or the metis and all their hangers on. The rich will not be paying either as they have the benefit of tax dodges that are in no way available to the average Joe.

This entire amount is on the backs of the only people who had no part in this, you probably figured that out for yourselves by now. Yes you got it the entire cost falls to the never ending suffering of the blue collar workers.

You might wish to check up on some history that is little known in that England and the UK abolished slavery in 1834 and that England only just finished paying of that debt a couple of years ago. Do the math as that amount was not even close to what these settlements are and will end up costing the poor suffering Canadian colonials who are footing this bill.

I would encourage all Canadians to also remember that the people responsible for this state of affairs is as a result of the Liberal Government under Justin Trudeau indeed Blackface and his minions are the facilitators of this entire debacle. Remember also if you will that these same people will be benefitting for the remainder of their days with the gold plated pensions that they have rewarded themselves with at you guessed it on the backs of the lowly tax payer.

We are all doomed.

Nero may have played the flute while Rome burned, but Trudeau, our own village idiot, Bhangra danced while Canada was destroyed by the flames of financial ruin and political incompetence. Somehow the lyrics of Barry McGuire's 1965 iconic song, "The Eve of Destruction" comes to mind:

"And you tell me

Over and over and over again, my friend

How you don't believe

We're on the eve of destruction"

Of course we are all "doomed". But to say that nobody, other than Blue Collar tax-payers, is "paying the bill" is wrong. This kind of crooked government CAUSES hyper-inflations to occur. And when that happens, nobody's money is any good --- except for those who have dumped their worthless dollars [copper coins that used to be gold, per ancient Rome; Reich-marks (Germany 1923); pesos [Pick any South American or Latin American currency]; etc. etc.] and traded them for some form or currency which retains value over time [historically both gold and silver "fit the bill" because they have to be mined and can't be counterfeited].

Most of the lowly tax-payers are broke. The government of Canada is broke. So the money inevitably "goes broke"! That is called hyper-inflation. And we're headed there, unless normal citizens start indicting these fraud artist clowns in Ottawa, or wherever they're situated.

"Follow the money" is a fail-safe principle. If something is continuously rewarded by large payouts, those receiving the money only have incentive to keep inventing reasons to justify more.

New AFN Chief stated: “You take our money from our land.”

I think she meant “We take your money” to the tune of $30-60 billion annually.

Since the AFN wants decolonization, which would logically mean a return to a barter economy, why even talk about money?

James Pew does an intelligent account of how much settler money people like Cindy Woodhouse covet.

There's still a pretty popular belief and one promulgated by many indigenous that no taxpayer dollars are ever or ever have been used for indigenous payment in Canada. All the money is from a trillion dollar pile of trust money and they could "buy Canada" if they wanted. I see this posted all the time.

James wrote: "It was former Attorney General of Canada, Jody Wilson-Raybould who, for the purpose of “reconciliation,” issued a highly illiberal and undemocratic decree, the Directive on Civil Litigation Involving Indigenous Peoples, or more commonly known as the “Practice Directive,” essentially instructing Crown prosecutors not to defend in open court the lawsuits brought forward by indigenous litigants, but instead negotiate settlements. "

What James meant above was crown counsel and not "Crown Prosecutors". But when you instruct your lawyers to "take a dive" in any law suit, you are telling them to "take the side" of the party or parties that are suing you. In effect you are suggesting or recommending that your lawyers COLLUDE with the opposing legal team. That is illegal, given our adversarial legal system.

That behaviour, on the parts of Crown counsel, is criminal, which is why you people should be reporting anybody you know about who is or has been involved in those suits to the police, or Crown Prosecutors or any Judge or Justice you "dare" to confront (with their crimes) in open Court. But you guys simply want to waste your time talking to ANYBODY but competent authorities!

And of course these massive settlement amounts create their own set of problems, as we saw even with the residential school payouts. A whole layer of bureaucratic services develops around the handling and disbursement of this money, with Indigenous leaders and band-run "corporations" siphoning off huge percentages at every step.

An example: The 21 communities that will be getting a $10 billion payout from the 1850 Robinson Huron treaty settlement are facing a dilemma of how best to deal with the cash. Many band members – especially those living off reserve – are wanting PCDs – per capita distribution of the funds to living annuitants (which would amount to about $286,000 for each of the roughly 35,000 people). Some community leaders are urging long-term investments and building community infrastructure. Financial literacy education will be needed, along with a gearing up of addiction and recovery services. Is there any transparency as to who received the money, where and how it was spent, when etc.?

It just seems to all disappear into a Black Hole, where no daylight ever escapes.

The Indigenous grievance/victimization industry is very lucrative for all involved - lawyers, Indigenous people etc., but of course not for the taxpayer who has to pay the bill.

They will keep coming back for more if they are rewarded with more money each time.
