As an ACTUAL descendant of black slaves whose ancestor came to Lower Canada from Barbados in 1837 and lived a full and prosperous life in Canada I can state with authority the Toronto Star's article assertions are bullshit. Also, wrt to the recent TDSB woke teaching guide (the one apparently now retracted), I will be writing my local board the OCDSB to ensure they are not using similar socially poisonous documents in THEIR teaching training.

We all need to contact our schools after Lecce's comments: "Schools are a place for learning life and job skills, above all else,” said Lecce. “My message to school boards is clear: there is no place for divisive ideologies — every action they take should prioritize and support academic achievement.”
Thanks, good point. What I am not sure about though it what is being taught TO teachers internally, on PD days and the like, which from what I can tell, is often not communicated to the public. That crazy racist TDSB document I am pretty sure was only meant for internal consumption, but the cat got out of the bag. I'd like to know what, if anything, the OCDSB is using internally only, in the same racist vein.
I am writing a letter to my MP Ben Lobb to let him know that the seeds of destruction are being sewed by some very very unhappy folk in good old Conservative Ontario (grey bruce) the Conservative Party had best think about holding a leadership review unless they wish to loose big at the next election. people are fed up with Dougie having put his finger into too many pies i.e. land grab.
For sure we will see the Libs taking many votes unless there is change at the top.
