Oh! Canada!
Our home and native land, The cherished land we call home and the birthplace of our children, a place where we belong, and a nation that connects us all. Yet, the poetic words that were carefully drafted to unite us and remind us of our shared pride for our home and native land are being hijacked and transformed.
Oh! Canada!
True patriot love thou dost in us command. Yet, some of those who are born and raised here and, therefore, have the unearned privilege of being Canadian show no qualms in disrespecting the founders of this great nation. They do not hesitate to promote historical self-hate, persist in attacking excellence in education, insist on targeting school children with their toxic ideologies, and claim the moral high ground for their destructive, divisive, self-satisfying, narrow-minded approach. Some of them even become Prime Ministers, lie through their teeth, waste the hard-earned money of the population to no end, and name-call or label the people who disagree with them and whom they are expected to serve.
Oh! Canada!
With glowing hearts we see thee rise. However, the monuments of great men and women who built the lives we live are taken down, millions of taxpayers money will be spent to change the name of streets we go through, schools and universities we attend and that were built by the very people they are named after. Our heroes are erased from our Canadian passports by our own government! Moreover, we are constantly held responsible for the wrongdoings of the past while remaining ignorant to the immoralities, injustices, and malpractices of the present. With broken hearts we see thee fall.
Oh! Canada!
The True North strong and free! Alas, Canada is truly neither strong nor free anymore. Despite its potential for economic independence and strength, our nation has succumbed to tyranny and our government has become a laughing stock. The individual liberty, democratic principles, and personal freedom within Canadian society now seem like a story of the past, a fairy tale. A nation that once embodied resilience, capability, and commitment to upholding principles of freedom and equality in all its glory has become a divided, fragmented, disintegrated, and broken nation.
Oh! Canada!
Thou land of hope for those who toil! Thou art one of the greatest countries in the world, a place that many wish to call home and are willing to endure extreme hardships to reach this goal. They aspire to live in a country that fosters equal opportunity, only to discover that those who work harder, plan for their future and teach their children to do the same get punished. The institutions hiring and promoting based on race, gender and all sorts of invented group identities instead of competency, character, and merit, have effectively made Canada a racist country. A country where a biracial student is deemed not black enough! A caucasian student is considered to be too white, and an indigenous student is tolerated despite his/her inappropriate behaviour and even worse, is rewarded with a credit he/she did not earn! (These are true incidents. I am not naming the students, teachers, and the schools to protect their identities. I hope this clarification does not require further explanation).
Oh! Canada!
We see thee rising fair, dear land. There is no rising for this dear land. A nation invaded by poisonous ideas growing with alarming speed, suffocating the essence of freedom. The ideas act like vines, tightly binding around any living thought, while the elected officials fertilize these invasive weeds.
Oh! Canada!
May stalwart sons and gentle maidens rise, To keep thee steadfast through the years. Well, for obvious reasons this one is out of the picture! Unless, Canadian parents wake up and realize what is at stake, take a strong stance, make noise louder than the media, shake the education system, and break its fake façade.
Oh! Canada!
Hold our dominion within Thy loving care, though Liberals attack liberty and challenge anyone who dares to express an opposing view or even question a top-down dogma or decision. Where Conservatives failed to conserve the unity of even their own party during the most crucial moments of our history when our people's call for Freedom was heard across the world. Where the New Democratic Party could not be more undemocratic in their support for the suppression of the working-class citizens and the heroes of the cursed pandemic years who brought food to our tables and supplies to our stores. Adding insult to injury, our Prime Minister seems hell-bent on destroying this nation, taking it deeper and deeper into debt, making people increasingly dependent on his petty subsidies, suppressing any challenges, and playing his fiddle while Canada is literally on fire!
Oh! Canada!
God keep our land glorious and free. A land that is the home to the excessively polite, often passive, and peace-loving people, some of whom are divided, delusional, and distant from the harsh realities of our supposedly democratic government thereby perpetuating the downfall of this nation. Even the act of celebrating Canada Day is accompanied by an ingrained sense of guilt! Unless we knock and break the wall, God will not open it.
Oh! Canada!
We stand on guard for thee. Standing on guard for our country, our home, and our native land is long overdue. The enemy is within, and it has infiltrated every nook and cranny of our nation for quite some time. It has taken advantage of our good nature, compassion, and empathy. Our institutions have been taken over, and the minds of our children have been penetrated. Now, more than ever, the call for action needs to be loud and clear. We must rise, stand on guard, and preserve our great nation for the sake of our sons and daughters who will inherit it.
O Canada! Where pines and maples grow,
Great prairies spread and lordly rivers flow,
How dear to us thy broad domain, (Original lyrics-by Robert Stanley Weir)
For thee we stand on guard again,
A home so worth fighting for,
To push tyranny out the door,
Where boys and girls can be kids once more,
And family lives will endure and soar,
So our children’s thought will freely sing,
Where only the Canadian flag takes wing. ( add on- by N. Invictus)
Happy Canada Day

I hope Trudeau reads this: “They do not hesitate to promote historical self-hate, persist in attacking excellence in education, insist on targeting school children with their toxic ideologies, and claim the moral high ground for their destructive, divisive, self-satisfying, narrow-minded approach. Some of them even become Prime Ministers, lie through their teeth, waste the hard-earned money of the population to no end, and name-call or label the people who disagree with them and whom they are expected to serve.” As a teacher, I have seen the woke proselytizers target children. Now it’s time for all of us to target the proselytizers.
Its downright embarrassing how the Canadian Establishment (especially the Laurentian crowd) has taken on the mantle of self-loathing. The academic and cultural 'elite' are to be held in contempt. Where is the recognition that we live in a wonderful country, despite its flaws? Why is there so much focus today within academia (and the cultural "leadership") on grievance, and chronic attempts to stoke resentment? Happiness (and success) only really comes by having an attitude of gratitude, for all the good we have. In Canada, we have far more good than bad, and that applies to ALL Canadians.
