Nice to see a teacher with the guts to tell it like it is perhaps he should take over as the minister of education and replace Lecce that gutless do nothing.
I wholeheartedly agree. This open letter should also include public sector education unions who have been watching their individual members get vilfied from the sidelines and have remained silent. McCathyism style backroom kangaroo courts are alive and well at school boards while the unions sit on their hands.
Thank you for your open letter. Well written, to the point and accurate.
We need more and more people to speak out loud and clear. However, having sat in innumerable and unbearable staff meetings for years, sadly I am not optimistic that more educators, like you and me, would bother to step up- and that is one of the reasons we are in this mess to begin with!
It has been horrific to witness how the western world is devouring itself to the point of becoming non-existence and indistinguishable from the totalitarian regimes from which many of us fled!
How ignorant, delusional, and blind ( metaphorically speaking -I am not an ableist!) could people be?
Igor Stravinsky writes: “I reached out to you some time ago expressing my concern for the bullying and harassment of school teachers and administrators who questioned the current approach to diversity, equity and inclusion which has taken over most of our institutions, including school boards (and schools), but never received a response from you.” I never get replies to my letters. The people at the top get paid enormous amounts to ruin public education and avoid all accountability.
A very articulate and pointed letter that invariably will not be read or responded to by self righteous individuals convinced of the superiority of their position and the inferiority of yours.
“Yet it is folly to argue against determined hardness; eloquence may strike the ear, and the language of sorrow draw forth the tear of compassion, but nothing can reach the heart that is steeled with prejudice.”
I am a retired teacher and I hear from teachers how they are bullied in school. I would like to hear a response from you to the teacher who wrote to you in this letter. Thanks.
Although this whole thing is a genuine tragedy, it has had the effect of publicizing the toxic nature of some DIE training. More normies are becoming aware of the nastiness behind a lot of these initiatives. And most decent ordinary people will reject it.

When all your short comings are the fault and resposibility of others, you will never overcome them.
Perfect.

Well written. Spot on!

I find that by specifically asking for a reply, I usually get something.

Great letter. I don't know who this group is, but if they endorse policies based on Critical Theory, they are headed in the wrong direction.

Yep.
