The public school system needs to be dismantled. The people running it are compromised so badly they don't even hear the message behind the March. Fools in power
Wow !!! This is really beyond belief. What planet are these people from. This is what happens when the government sits on the fence and lets the inmates run the asylum.

The Charter allows us our own beliefs and freedom to express those beliefs but does not allow us to do so if it offends another’s ‘dignity’! Can you point that last part out anywhere in the Charter?
I'm off to Kingston tomorrow to see a lot of "hate-filled parents" who want to be part of their children's education. Not really looking forward to it because it's a university town. We'll see who the violent ones are. The easiest way to diminish your opponent's message is by lying about his/her intent.
I believe the majority of PDSB employees to be secretly on the side of parents, as many are parents themselves. We need to stop demonizing parents as their job is to "see around corners" on behalf of their underage children and protect them from being used as pawns in an grab for political power. Most parents, unless they suffer from Munchausin by Proxy Syndrome, would err on the side of caution before putting their child on the path to irreversible changes and sterilization, even if it means being unpopular. That's what parents do - they stop you from committing irreversible harm to yourself until your brain develops and you can fully protect yourself. We are not fooled Rashmi Swarup, we choose truth and "do no harm" over virtue signalling.
The exceptions in the charter are under the criminal code. If we think someone's words are offensive, we could ask the authorities to step in. After the authorities tell us the words are not illegal, we could appeal to the court to have them added to the list. Leave that to people who want those changes. We who are exercising our right of opinion and expression do not have to clear it with the Court first. Paul

Excellent piece. Looking forward to the March tomorrow and the voice of the majority in the streets of our country.
