I haven't been in a college or high school classroom for quite a while but it doesn't sound like things have improved very much. I recall teaching a grade 10 math class with about half the students coming from a distant Reserve. If you just looked at the marks you might conclude I was a racist of the worst order.......almost every Reserve kid failed ....failed miserably. On average I would see these kids one day a week; the rest of the time they were in their group home watching movies. The Indian Affairs coordinators were supposed to make sure these kids attended classe but they didn't do it...or not very often. These kids would go back to the Reserve for the holidays and you might see some of them a month later. So before you accuse the teachers take a look at the whole situation.
The amount of time, effort and money these woke school boards are spending on these horribly divisive topics is just insane and really harmful to all, especially the kids.
This is only tangentially a race-based problem, because it reflects much larger problems of governance, discipline and learning outcomes associated with the postmodernist trained humanist ascendancy that now controls the means of social reproduction and administration....and manages the larger systemic variables within Indulgence Capitalism, whereby an economy and culture of disciplined needs and wants has been replaced by ones of delimited fantasies of desire and immediate satiation that has eroded not just behavioral boundaries, but the ones that differentiate knowing fancy and unknowing delusion.
The protracted and system wide multigenerational deregulation, privatization (at the expense of accountability to the nation state/community/familial management) and fantasization of consciousness has eviscerated practical governance and destroyed the infrastructure that supports it, leaving behind a vacuum that any opportunist that is floating by can exploit (like the Homosexual and Fellow Travelers Lobbies)
The giveaway for this shift was the replacement of civil rights by human rights, which disappeared responsible adult agency as a condition of obtaining and keeping those rights. Giving children adult rights without responsible agency was in effect a demolition of social agency that transferred social power and authority from society to the public relations and marketing system that has become the voice inside peoples' heads......particularly childrens' heads.
The effect has been the defenestration of our fundamental social infrastructure which is now turning into an existential catastrophe.
