Pam Palmater is a classic example of the rotten apple spoiling the barrel. In 2021 the barrel was Ryerson University in Toronto, a once respected Ontario institution, that became intoxicated with Woke mentality and decided to show the world how progressive and committed it was to indigenous education, diversity and social justice by establishing what it called the, "Chair of Indigenous Governance". Pam Palmater was afforded that position which signaled the beginning of the end to both the historical legacy of Egerton Ryerson and the school of his namesake. Using the fictitious lie of Residential School genocide catalyzed by the falsehood of the Kamloops graves, the schools exterior was soon cheapened by ghetto graffiti, protests and the toppling of the once historic statue of Egerton Ryerson. With no pushback from the schools administration and no intervention by the Ministry of Education, what was once a well known Toronto landmark became the helpless victim of indigenous activism and melted into anonymity with a new non descript and unassailable name of "The Toronto Metropolitan University". It wasn't a complete victory for Palmater, as her request for an indigenous name never materialized. The incident does reinforce Michael Melanson's point that:

“Palmater is doing what she has always done: foment hate and bigotry. She belongs to that class of aboriginal activists who gauge personal success by the volume of vitriol they get publicized."

Colton Boushie’s death was sad and lamentable, but his “case of intoxicated young criminals, armed with a loaded weapon, brazenly entering the property to steal” is not uncommon. The Stanley family never left their farm and posed a threat to others. Our woke and immoral media chose the wrong side to defend.

And of course the PM said the judicial system needed to “do better” following the not guilty verdict. Get your head around that one...the PM casting doubt on the integrity of our judicial system. As if I needed another reason to be disappointed by that buffoon.

Yeah, until that moment I had no idea that he was so knowledgeable in matters of law. Oh, wait, silly me. I forgot that Horseface is the grand poo-bah of everything and everyone who lives in Canada---even lawyers and judges.

It's obvious that Canada is in urgent need of a new PM. He has forgotten that he works for the citizens of Canada. He has forgotten that Canadian tax dollars are for the good of Canada and the people of Canada, first and foremost. ALL people of Canada. Canada needs a leader who doesn't spend each and every chance he gets causing division. Changing his favoured group, and stirring up division and hate through MSM. Canada was a country of peace, 8 short years ago. There were not homeless people on the streets, and there weren't young white males dying by the hundreds from drug overdoses. Fentanyl and "Safe Drug" handouts paid for with our tax dollars, not to mention illegal immigration and human trafficking are out of control. Nothing to do with the colour of one's skin. All to do with greed, corruption and powers outside of Canada. Watch "Canada is Dying". It is a documentary that shows the shape Canada is truly in. Available on "X" formerly Twitter.

The anti-colonial rhetoric is totally out of control on so many fronts that I think it should be outlawed. It gives license to abuse, discriminate against - and even kill - anyone these cultural Marxists have lumped into their so-called "oppressor" groups: putting white heterosexual men at the top of the list, but also including Jews and Christians, since the cultural Marxists ally themselves with radical Islamists.

Has anyone else seen Palmater on those 5 minute TVO (TV Ontario, a provincially funded station) films, where she says "if it doesn't hurt, it's not reconciliation"?

It hurts to just look at her.

Critical Theory based activism is divisive by design. It is designed, among other things, to stoke resentment. Take a look at this, this is one of the most revealing interviews I have ever seen, about using resentment as a political and revolutionary tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TK9c-caEcw

Anyone who truly wishes to get to the truth of racism just needs to go to some northern Ontario reservations and talk to the residents who live nearby and I give as an example Chapleau as one of them. Interview some of the business owners who find they must escort their female employees from the front door to their car in their parking lot both arriving and leaving work lest they be raped, assaulted or robbed by indians. Talk to as many residents you want most of them will tell you that whatever you do while driving in the area do not stop to assist anyone at the roadside for fear of assault robbery or car jacking, indians again.

Let me be very clear, this is NOT my opinion this is fact.

When the indigenous issue comes up in Canada (e.g., the "mass grave" hoax perpetrated by CBC and Trudeau, and the church burnings, or the residential school claims -- which at this point is one-sided propaganda to demonize churches and Canadians, lacking all nuance or historical context) it brings to mind the fact that Trudeau is trying to turn Canada into a "post-national" socialist police state like China, based on a social credit score. To do this he uses controversial issues to divide people (e.g, transgenderism, vax mandates, indigenous issues, BLM, abortion, etc). Eventually, if the Leftists get their way, Canada will be controlled by China, which covets the vast wood, water, oil, mining, and arable land resources and sees Canadians as a minor impediment to swept aside. If and when that happens -- and sadly I think it will -- will the First Nation peoples continue to enjoy the privileged status they now have? Of course not. They will be swept aside and purged like everyone else. Some of the native activists benefit financially and politically now by pushing race politics, but in the long run they too will be purged. Communists don't care that many of them identity as socialists. They are "useful idiots of the revolution." They served their purpose. The CCP looks on all Canadians as expendable in its pursuit of world domination, just as they view their own people as expendable to achieve absolute power. The Leftists will object when they end up in the gulags and before firing squads, but they made their bed. Unfortunately, they also helped destroyed the greatest civilization in the history of humanity -- the West - in the process.

If Indigenous people don't like colonialism, which they practiced for centuries, then they can no longer use computers, planes, trains and automobiles, the engine, modern science and healthcare, the welfare system, tv, glass, plastic, waste management, toilets, electricity, gas, human rights laws, central heating, the light bulb, books, writing, the English language, free money, the wheel etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

By the way, thanks for giving the world tobacco. It only killed millions of Europeans. Can we ask for reparations for that?

Works both ways.

I wonder if we'll be reading about Pam one day along the lines of Buffy Sainte Marie?

She looks obviously of mixed race, a very attractive woman. She mentions her father a lot in her biographies, because he's MicMac, but never mentions her mother. In her speeches, she also never mentions that the vast majority of murders of Indigenous people are by other Indigenous people, such as the massacre at the James Smith First Nation by Myles Sanderson, a convicted violent criminal on the lam from his parole, who was openly dealing drugs in that community and nobody turned him in. She's been totally silent on that.

I love your articles. Perhaps Pam Palmater and others like her should NEVER be referred to as aboriginals but rather as part aboriginals. It's perfectly clear that at most she is half-blooded but probably far less. I'm astrounded that she denigrates her own Whiteness by pretending not to be of the same race. Her parents must be mortified at her behaviour.

Since the Buffy Ste. Marie "reveal", I've read a large number of comments on MSM articles and in Facebook posts. Granted, such posts are of fairly limited value as a sample. Nevertheless, over a few days, I became dishearted and even depressed by the rhetoric seemingly coming from indigenious posters. A few condemn BSM, but many stand up for sher because "she has done a lot", "she looks indigenous", the exposure is a hit job by colonists on an indigenous hero, CBC is against us (?), and, so-called evidence is simply colonists' lies. The apparent beliefs are astounding. Colonists, for example, destroyed birth records "way back" in 1941, so that they could steal indigenous babies and sell them to white people. Colonists' record keeping is notoriously poor and / or desceptive. Any sound evidence that isn't discounted is simply ignored. The vitrol, hatred, commitment to false narrative, and total commitment to a belief in white conspiracy, is breath-taking, frightening, and right up there with the same sort of beliefs that drive people to astounding actions they consider to be justified such as Oct 7.

Palmater, Murray Sinclair, and many others are culpable in stoking this racial hatred, and it is not what Palmater (and others) present as white racism against indigenous people. It is precisely the opposite. If non-indigenous people were making the statements some indigenous people are, I think the consequences would be severe. The fact there appears to be no response to the racial hatred formented by indigenous leaders is frustrating. More importantly, it is dangerous. The people formenting it are succeeding in radicalizing a segment of people who seem to lack the capacity to evaluate the veracity of the lies they are being told.

I agree with James Pew. Palmater and others could do good for indigenous people, especially by helping people understand the availability and value of education. Instead, they are cultivating the hopelessness most indigenous people seem to live in, and feeding the poverty and violence that hopelessness spawns. The damage they have done is emense, and, I fear, irreversable.

“Colonial institutions” might have a lot of bad attributed to them, but poor record keeping isn’t one of them. Access to records is an ongoing controversy, as is determining who is going to be the ultimate custodian of them in the future. (Because many of the records are being held by the Federal Government, I am opposed to having the records turned over to a third party who will determine who gets access to them for research and study purposes.)

Expand full comment

I agree! Absolutely opposed to the records coming under 3rd party control, especially given the apparent motivation for advocating for that control is to make truth inaccessable and undiscoverable and thereby continue to mislead indigenous people and others.

We dare not allow "anti-colonial" hate-mongering to become "irreversible". We must protest it as much as we protest the sexual grooming of children in public schools (which, by the way, is part of the "anti-colonial"/cultural Marxist/woke scheme of things). The average person (and our politicians) must come to understand that anti-colonial hate is not about helping what its activists consider "the oppressed" groups. It's about hating, subjugating and eventually killing those who are white, heterosexual, Jewish or Christian. If you fall into one or more of these groups, you are at risk. That is why the Pope subjugated himself to aboriginals on his Canadian visit while calling for Israel to surrender to Hamas by demanding a ceasefire. He is an appeaser of anti-colonial hatred and a traitor to his own church.

It's also why Trudeau and his minions called the the truckers racist. They hate white people who use their hands for a living. They are dedicated to destroying it, hence the massive immigration of nonwhites. They hate white English Canadians.
