Ontario is one of the most diverse provinces in this country. As a consequence, our schools have a highly diverse student population that encompasses people with different ethnic backgrounds, nationalities, cultures, and religions, as well as different races, skin colours, genders, preferred genders, and sexual orientations, you name it. One can easily extend this wide range of diversity to include people's dietary choices, such as omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, carnivores, etc. Furthermore, it is possible to create group identities by cross-referencing categories and within groups, for example, bi-racial individuals with different religious beliefs, etc. To be clear, I am not being sarcastic, just stating the possibilities.
Such an endlessly diverse population, where each group, (excluding the heterosexual Caucasian men) is entitled to explicit acknowledgement, affirmation, and representation in order to foster a sense of inclusivity, necessitates an equitable approach. However, Ontario schools have proudly engaged in discriminatory practices against the majority of its minority groups by visibly privileging one particular group of students over others. Concrete evidence of this assertion can be found in the display of a specific multi-colour flag, often alongside the Canadian flag, either intermittently or throughout the year, at our schools that are funded by this multitude of diverse populations who do not necessarily belong to that group.
Raising a flag specifically representing a group of people whose main characteristic of identification is related to their sexual desires and how they perceive the sexual organs of their bodies can have complex implications, including:
● It sends the message that there are two distinct groups of students at the school - Canadians and non-heterosexuals and/or those who do not believe in biological sex (I prefer not to use the long list of alphabets) - can be problematic, as it implies that the latter group is not considered as Canadians.
● If the reason for raising the flag that represents non-heterosexuals and those who do not believe in the biological sex group is to value and highlight the sexual orientations and gender identities of Canadians, then there should also be a flag representing heterosexual and biological believer Canadians. Undermining the existence of the latter group suggests that:
The majority of students are not valued.
The former group is preferred and promoted.
Moreover, since this explicit discrimination against other group identities contradicts the principles outlined in DEI mandates and guidelines, it is crucial for the Ministry of Education to directly address this matter. This entails requiring all schools to raise flags and/or display symbols representing every possible group identity that their students may identify with, regardless of how fluid it may be. It is important to ensure that these flags and symbols are raised at equal heights and for the same duration. If necessary, the installation of additional flagpoles should be considered. Additionally, schools should develop plans to address any potential or emerging group identities that may arise in the future.
As absurd as this image is, it represents the catastrophic consequence of reducing people’s identity solely to their immutable, adopted, inherited, hedonic proclivity, or self-proclaimed differences rather than acknowledging what truly defines individuals- their character, personality, and contributions. Even more tragic is the insistence that everyone should subscribe to this notion in our supposedly free country! To make the matter even worse is the imposition of such ideas on children, who, if left to their own devices, would likely display little concern for the adults’ idiotic fixation with our differences. Unless they have been predisposed to particular mindsets, (e.g.. people of our race have always been victims throughout history, or that your ancestors were oppressors, or that any speech you hate constitutes hate speech, etc.,), children, when allowed to interact naturally, will play along and learn alongside those with who play fair and are willing to cooperate, regardless of their dissimilarities. They do so intuitively and driven by their survival instincts.
How can we expect unity from the countless groups of people who have been conditioned since childhood to constantly seek out the signs that set them apart from others? How can we discover our common ground when we are not celebrating our commonalities? The divide-and-conquer strategy, which can be traced back to ancient Greece, has lasted so long because it works! This strategy has been employed by politicians to gain and sustain power in a divisive manner. If our government genuinely desired a harmonious society, it would not insist on emphasizing our differences. If our Prime Minister's true intention was to unite people, he would not address parents' opposition to the over-sexualization of their children as rising hate against non-heterosexuals and people who do not believe in biological sex. Moreover, it is contradictory and plainly preposterous to appoint a representative to combat anti-Islamophobia while simultaneously condemning Muslim parents for expressing objections to highly sexualized pride festivities in schools and labelling them as "far right." Our government is poisoning the minds of its own citizens and turning the general population against each other. It's a Machiavellian tactic, second to none.
Instead, our government should promote our shared humanity and focus on what we all have in common, the Canadian identity that unites and empowers us, fostering a sense of collective pride. A fragmented society will not possess a unified voice. Each group will sing a distinct tune, too preoccupied with asserting their own righteousness, too obsessed with seeking attention and gaining approval, too possessed by vindictive feelings and focused on blaming everyone and everything except oneself. In doing so they fail to recognize and object to the incompetence and failure of government officials who are plunging this nation into immeasurable debt, exacerbating issues of drug use and addiction (both legal and illegal )and contributing to widespread depression, delusion and despair - all at the expense of our children's future.
All of us or our forefathers, at some point, came here to be a part of this country, to be Canadian. Our children, irrespective of any specific group affiliation, are Canadians. The one and only flag that is appropriate for our schools on Canada’s soil is the Canadian Flag. It should fly proudly and prominently in Canada's sky, instilling a sense of pride in every student for being a part of this strong and free nation, while nurturing their responsibility to accept and respect all fellow Canadians.

“Raising a flag specifically representing a group of people whose main characteristic of identification is related to their sexual desires” is an abuse of the educational mission. There should be no pride flags in schools. People who choose sexual fetishes should not be allowed to parade them in front of students.
The brainwashing is for real! It is the saddest thing living in these times. I feel helpless because I am a homophobe and bigot.
