The essential point to me in this relevant and real article: “The only reason a certain identity group could be underperforming is that their identity-based needs are not being met, that is to say their poor performance is, in and of itself, proof of teacher biases and bigotry.”

In other words, teachers are at fault for Chinese students outperforming indigenous or black students?

Nothing to do with work effort or parental support.

How stupid. School boards are run by low-level charlatans.

I worked for PDSB for 31 years...retired just as they were starting Critical Race Theory garbage. So thankful I'm out of there! I wrote to the person in charge of it all at the board and she completely denied what they were doing had anything to do with Critical Race Theory.

There are 22 countries in North, Central and South America (not including the islands of the Caribbean and "Gulf Of America"). The Spanish and Portuguese also came from Europe 400+ years ago. Spanish speakers are now the largest language group on what I assume the left would call "Greater Turtle Island".

I wonder if they navel gaze the way we do in Canada?

The TDSBs are ndp-captured woke school boards that are radical and should be placed under trusteeship. Ford is a CINO who has no courage to do that.

In the Northwest corner of Ontario, closest to the really remote, northern communities, the schoolboard has a staff directory on their website, They have a superintendent of education and three (3) directors of education and each is given a brief "professional summary" space which includes a mix of the following portfolios. IEAC (Indigenous Ed Advisory Team), SEAC (Special Ed Advisory Team), Safe Schools, Indigenous Education, First Nations School Support, etc. The Icing on the cake is the person installed as the "Human Rights and Equity Advisor" on the senior admin team, with the following portfolios.

Primary Portfolios:

-Human Rights & Equity

-Indigenous Education

-Research

-HR&E Training and Support

-Policy Review and Support

-Human Rights Intake

-Attendance & Engagement

Advisory Committees:

-Indigenous Education Advisory Committee (IEAC)

-Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)

So this schoolboard is set for the foreseeable future. Go tax dollars.
