This is so difficult for all children, being separated into groups and segregated by race. Now white kids are bullied, ostracized, and excluded and no one says anything. Because we're not allowed to. It's no wonder suicide rates are soaring. White kids are made to feel like they're hated and should feel guilt for past injustices. Meanwhile kids of color are being made to feel they need extra help to succeed. This is no win.

Of course you're allowed to. But most parents are too afraid.

This is common, “a black student glowingly describing opportunities exclusively set aside for black students such as scholarships, field trips, volunteering, internships, and entrepreneurship. I certainly can’t blame them for enthusiastically taking advantage of these opportunities. But as a society, do we want to be allocating resources according to peoples’ race?” This is all that woke reformers offer, an unfair allocation of academic rewards or opportunities.

This article provides more evidence why parents should find a way to remove their kids from the public school system and either homeschool or send them to private. This includes minority kids who appeared to be "favored" by the public school system. They are perhaps suffering the most from policies that indoctrinate them with victim mentalities and fail to help them reach their full potential scholastically.

It's mostly white people who are advocating this, starting with Robin DiAngelo and her book "White Privilege," academics and "activists of colour", who are in a very small minority.

Thank you for continuing to point out the bias of the mainstream media and how their coverage of the PDSB influenced the extreme state of chaos they continue to occupy. No one really knows how it's deteriorated for staff and students and how this ideology has now become and self-fulfilling industry, a perpetual motion machine of perceived insult and injury.

I have been out of the classroom for a while but I know how the bureaucracy has continued to grow and how the provincial department of education has become a power unto itself. Parents are so dispaced and isolated that they become 'enemy agents' when they show up at board meetings. It has to change.

The woke radicals are clearly wrecking Ontario's K-12 under a CONSERVATIVE government. Perhaps they'll act when test scores continue to plummet.

And where are the PARENTS?

If parents complain it serves as evidence that they are part of the "problem". Questioning makes you a racist or transphobe. Obey.

Right, it's difficult. But do nothing and the woke radicals win.

The woke movement is a boon for private schools but is short-changing most kids whose parents cannot afford an alternative. Learning is impossible in an unruly classroom. We are producing a generation of illiterates.

It seems that woke extremists have seized the agenda from both the boards and the unions. Reverse racism is the order of the day. Unless sanity is restored, the public school system will become irrelevant. I taught high school and college classes for over thirty years and can guarantee that white teachers bent over backwards to help the non-white students to succeed and they regularly gave them marks that they did not earn. It was often just a matter of ensuring that all the failures didn't just fall on the non-white kids. We tried to protect the image of that demographic. This fake, woke racism has to stop otherwise there will be no winners, just losers.
