The Law Society of B.C. is not the only institution that has been corrupted by this weird reconciliation hysteria - the willingness to sacrifice truth to avoid offending indigenous sensibilities. Our universities, as well, have succumbed. The University of Manitoba has allowed its National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) to falsely claim that more than 4,000 children died at residential schools, when the number who actually died at the schools between 1883-1998 is in fact 423. That is the number reported by the TRC Report, Volume 4

It’s embedded in the new Complementary Health College here in BC as well (acupuncture, naturopaths, chiropractors).

Reading this article and others like it begs the question, "is stupidity contagious." Given the present context It is really difficult to conclude otherwise, perhaps not in the biological sense but certainly in social context. People consciously choose not to question and take their cues from others. But ignorance is not bliss and neither is group stupidity. It is costly and demeaning at a national level and has made Canada a laughing stock to other countries. The panacea for this malady is simple. Compel the RCMP to thoroughly investigate these absurd allegations and put the issue to bed once and for all. Simple and legally required but unfortunately, in todays environment of a fools paradise, it is not likely to happen.

Guilt is a powerful leverage. One can readily that if you guilt an entire race--say, caucasians--that you can then readily control them by mere accusation of doing the things that they have been made to feel guilty about.

The Law Society and Rustad are acting like soviet commissars, cowards all. Disgusting and disgraceful.

Why is it that the west coasts, both here and in the US, breed and cling to this type of woke left insanity?

Are we turning into a country of intellectual morons!!?! When does a tragic sounding fable EVER trump the TRUTH?!?! I’ll stick to John 8:32 wisdom pany day over the ‘wisdom’ of this idiotic age. Good luck to those fools who’d rather trust in their fantasies. I take comfort in the fact that the real world will eventually stop you one day like a brick wall as it always does.

This narrative had to be broadcast, because it ushered in UNDRIP. All part of the UN agenda.

Absolutely. And my understanding is BC is the only province that has created an act (DRIPA) to support UNDRIP and was also attempting to make changes to the Land Act to support it? Bruce Pardy (?) presented a great webinar on this topic a while back.

UNDRIP got snuck into legislation. Revisions to the mining exploration act got snuck in. Land act revisions ALMOST got snuck in and Eby decided he should wait until after an election in case people might cotton on to what he was doing, but watch for the proposed amendments to be snuck in. Haida Gwaii was given away without any consultation (consultation is only appropriate for one demographic it appears) and without any concern for fee simple land owners. There was a similar action in Sechelt somewhere where landowners were not advised about their new landlord. It's a bit of a mystery as to what is driving Eby's zealotry. One can only surmise that he's setting himself up for a lucrative business once he's no longer premier.

So true! Property rights in BC are scary. LACK OF I should say.

Eby's zealotry is being driven by the prospect of receiving recognition as a progressive leader, a champion of the contemporary DEI movement who is making all the political correct moves to impress his like minded colleagues. In the mind of a sycophant, perceptions are what's important not integrity or honesty.
