"It is not possible that Anthony has three kids that identify as trans. Because that would mean that all three would have gender dysphoria . . ."

I don't think you worded this quite right, James. It's becoming clear (and has been acknowledged by some therapists) that you don't have to have "gender dysphoria" to identify as trans (or non-binary, or whatever). You might do it because it gets you celebrated, gives you an in-group, and maybe exempts you from criticism for basically any kind of narcissistic or anti-social behaviour.

Anthony is no longer a rarity with his special brood. Here's another parent of three LGBTQ+ kids, expounding on the importance of protecting the rights of children: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/article-parents-should-be-defending-childrens-rights-rather-than-rushing-to/ (Sept 16, 2023).

It's often said that there is no fiercer advocate for trans "rights" than the parent (mothers in particular!) of a trans child. I understand that, I really do. But it makes it hard to put much stock in the views of the mother in the G&M opinion piece linked above. Of COURSE she's going to espouse these things, and of course she's not going to even mention potential harms . . .

Only slightly related: I heard an interesting statement the other day, to the effect that: If a child "comes out" as trans at the age of 4, it would be very much like if your cat came out as vegan; it would be pretty clear who was driving the lifestyle change.
