It was a great day for Canadian parents
The 1 Million March 4 Children was a resounding success
By
The 1 Million March 4 Children protests and counter-protests took place across the country on Wednesday. The chant “Leave Our Kids Alone” was heard in cities like Ottawa, Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Halifax, Montreal, Mississauga, Burlington, Kitchener, Whitby, Windsor, Huntsville, Llyodminster, Coquitlam, Surrey, Abbotsford, Saskatoon, Charlottetown, St. John’s, Yorkton, Regina, London, Barrie, Niagara Falls, Fredericton, and a lot more!
Late in the afternoon Wednesday I got an update on the protest in Ottawa from Shannon Douglas (creator of the Gender Wars series for Woke Watch Canada). Shannon was exuberant! His characterization was - “it was a really good day…the silent majority spoke.” Indeed, thousands of parents and concerned citizens showed they are an unstoppable force of nature. There is no longer any doubt about it, the tide has turned.
Coach Linda Blade, who was at the Edmonton march, agrees:
Watch. Listen. Read the signs. People really get it. There’s no putting this wine back into the bottle. Today was a turning point. Speech and opinions on this issue can be suppressed no longer. There’s no use painting this as “hate” @ctvedmonton @GlobalEdmonton & @CBCEdmonton
All of these people (many of them parents) love their children and want desperately to keep harmful ideology out of the schools. agrees:
Even though there was much anticipation that the protests would likely turn violent, fortunately, no serious incidents of violence occurred. In most cities the counter-protesters where vastly outnumbered. As Shannon put it, “there were a lot of rainbow tears today.” Indeed. Considering that LGBTQ & trans activists are the ones who think schools are the place to promote medical sex reassignment interventions in children: social transitions, drugs, and irreversible surgeries - culminating in life-long dependency on the pharmo-medical industrial complex - could their lackluster showing, and for the most part impotent counter-protest, mean sanity is returning to Canada?
Here is an X post from journalist, Odessa Orlewicz, who was at a 1 Million March 4 Children protest in Abbotsford, BC:
“Just got word that Abbotsford moms are reporting near empty classes today. Some empty. Some with 4-6 kids. In Abbotsford, BC many of the teachers have no idea what is happening today. Ottawa had a MASSIVE crowd of parents saying ‘leave our kids alone.’ The parent crowd once everyone showed up and started to march was about 10 X bigger than counter protesters. Parents were completely peaceful. The massive amount of police did a great job and were very friendly.”
The Peoples Party of Canada and their leader Maxime Bernier were in Toronto supporting parents in full force, while Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre’s silence was deafening. NDP leader, Jagmeet Singh virtue signaled about the “rise of hate” and marched with the Trans Rights and LGBTQ contingent at CUPE - the crazy ones, who think parents are fascists (discussed in my last piece Unions seek to "demoralize" parents ).
Here is Jagmeet Singh’s take on the protest (posted to X):
The rise of hate towards the 2SLGBTQI+ community is deeply alarming. All people deserve safety and freedom to be who they are. Today and every day, New Democrats stand with the trans community in solidarity.
A parent participating in the Ottawa protest, was disgusted to see Jagmeet Singh shoulder to shoulder with the counter-protestors:
As a parent, I'm incredibly furious and frustrated. It's enraging to witness parents from all backgrounds uniting on Parliament Hill, coming together to safeguard their children from indoctrination and ensure they have a safe and enjoyable environment. But what really boils my blood is seeing the leader of the NDP marching down Wellington Street alongside CUPE—actively opposing people like me who simply want to protect our daughters and provide them with a secure space. It's a blatant betrayal, and quite frankly, it's a big "fuck you" to those of us fighting for our children's well-being.
Justin Trudeau’s moral grandstanding was, of course, the usual tone-deaf disappointment. He posted the following statement:
Let me make one thing very clear: Transphobia, homophobia, and biphobia have no place in this country. We strongly condemn this hate and its manifestations, and we stand united in support of 2SLGBTQI+ Canadians across the country – you are valid and you are valued.
At this point there is nothing more Justin Trudeau can do to make it clear how much he despises Canadians. Compare Trudeau’s cynical and divisive message to what provincial leader of Alberta, Daniel Smith, had to say:
The Government of Alberta is aware of large planned protests and counter-protests happening across Canada today regarding issues that impact the lives and well-being of children. I ask that all protesters, regardless of what their position is on these delicate issues, exercise their right of free speech peacefully and to encourage their fellow Canadians to do the same.
In Kitchener, Waterloo, David Todor, children’s advocate, father of two girls, and creator of the Beyond the Rift podcast gave a great speech to a large fired up crowd of parents rights supporters. David broke down school board policies concerning gender affirming care, and the practice of socially transitioning children at school without informing parents. Several times, when he quoted directly from school documents, the crowd would erupt in a vitriolic expulsion of boos. A few particularly egregious school policies stepping firmly over the line separating parents rights from school board responsibilities, elicited a clamorous uproar from parents furious at the ridiculous circus going on inside Canadian schools.
I’ll leave these initial impressions at that for today. Overall, the 1 Million March 4 Children was a resounding success. It is abundantly clear that the Canadian parents rights movement has undeniable momentum. Onward!

Poilievre's absence from the 1 Million March was very disappointing and indicative of his timidity and unwillingness to stand for a cause that would have been a natural win for Conservatives. Today's failure to appear was what is known in soccer as an 'own goal'.
I couldn't imagine Leslyn Lewis letting the side down like this had she been leader.
It appears that Maxime Bernier is Canada's true conservative leader.
The official mainstream reaction to the march indicates the extent of regime psychopathy & the extent to which delusional thinking has penetrated our social & existential commons. Trudeau is a red queen character straight out of 'Alice in Wonderland', where rationalised insanity is normal & institutionalised....
