My understanding of Canada was limited by the constraints of my home country and the era in which I lived (the 90s), where access to information was less readily available than it is today. Despite this limited information, it was enough for me to decide to apply for immigration. Living under a totalitarian regime, the idea of a better life elsewhere, a life of freedom, seemed incredibly appealing and irresistible. In case there is any ambiguity about what a totalitarian regime looks like, as the definition goes it is a centralized system of dictatorship that requires complete subservience to the state. This regime divides, hires, and promotes people based on their gender (and any other parameter convenient for the regime) or their overt affiliation with the state's ideology. It suppresses freedom of speech, consequently stifling independent thought, and is founded on the presumption of guilt. It erases the glories of the past and falsifies history. Furthermore, it indoctrinates its students to adopt either a victim or perpetrator status in the name of the greater good. To be clear, this regime does not take control overnight, it evolves through incremental steps that each one of them might appear innocent at the time and more so be presented as making progress and being compassionate. More importantly, the only way this system is able to function and dominate is when good men and women remain silent, yield, and allow these parasitic doctrines to prevail!
Moreover, having spent my childhood in Europe, I was already familiar with Western culture, with which I had created a sense of familiarity and connection. Even as a child, I felt the intrinsic value of people, the respect for opposing views, and the presumption of innocence that at the time, were embedded in the British culture where I grew up. I now have the privilege of calling Canada my home—a home that I am determined to protect. I want to protect it from its own shortcomings, from those who fail to recognize the greatness of this nation, from those who seem unaware that all nations and communities have had at times dark pasts, and from those who refuse to appreciate the contributions of the men and women who have shaped this country into what it is today—a place that many aspire to call home.
Protecting a nation in short part involves safeguarding its children. Canada has faced criticism for its treatment of children in residential schools, particularly the separation of children from their families and the imposition of Christianity. Regardless of the intentions, the damage caused is undeniable and irreversible. However, the only way forward is to learn from the past. The question is, are we truly doing that? Do we genuinely believe that every child matters? I beg to differ. As a Canadian educator who has been teaching in this country for about two decades, I am deeply troubled by what I consider to be history in playback. What is currently happening in Canadian schools is appalling, irresponsible, and unacceptable. I dare say it is cruel!
Similarly to my ignorance regarding Canada’s history, my understanding of Canadian education was also flawed. It wasn't until I went through Teachers' College and started teaching in this country that I realized the education system is overrated, and that is putting it lightly. Oddly enough the teacher’s college does teach its teacher candidates the history and philosophy of education. However, what stood out for me was the overemphasis on sexuality. If I had known what I later discovered through my own studies on the history and philosophy of education, I would have found it morally objectionable to become a teacher- that is another story in itself. Once again, my lack of knowledge has allowed me to join the ranks of many teachers who dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to teaching and treat their students as their own. Like many others, I believed that within my own classroom, I could do what is right—delivering the truth, nurturing a sense of responsibility, fostering freedom of thought and expression, and helping my students reach their full potential academically, practically, and morally.
However, adhering to these fundamental principles has become increasingly challenging as centrally imposed ideologies infiltrate our classrooms like poisonous vines, draining the essence from our interactions with students and replacing them with robot-like, preprogrammed individuals whose sole purpose seems to be fostering self-obsession, emotional and sexual confusion, and nurturing an obsession with victimhood and social justice warrior status. In addition, there is a promotion of historical self-hate, a narrow-minded focus on skin color, and the propagation of fiction over facts. Competency and character have been disregarded, and anything goes.
Consider the following examples:
In our education today
● schools not only impose their ideologies on students but also dishonestly withhold information from parents and silence those who oppose them.
● Our education system seems determined to erase our shared Canadian identity, which could be a unifying force, a source of strength, motivation, and purpose. In addition, it is focused on creating as many different identities as possible, fragmenting our society. Furthermore, schools dictate the words students and staff may use. (i.e do not use boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen, and the imposition of using a list of self-made pronouns that are so fluid they may change from class to class and from one day to another day!)
● While schools claim to embrace diversity, they fail to allow for diversity of opinion, belief, and ideas. It leaves no room for alternative perspectives and labels those with differing opinions as “having the wrong opinion”, forcing them into silence or requiring them to undergo training courses. In the worst cases, individuals may even lose their teaching licenses. The education system is imposing its own set of beliefs on students and staff, resembling a religion of its own. i.e. Gender ideology is a belief system, therefore it is a religion foisted upon- well everyone.
I acknowledge that there are undoubtedly positive aspects taking place within our schools. However, I attribute them to the teachers who are keeping their posts, trying to fight this battle, and bravely building barricades in their classrooms to prevent the tsunami of madness from taking over. However, a time comes when the cost of keeping one’s post is actively participating in the lies and becoming an agent of the propaganda machine. It means selling your soul to the devil. How much longer can these teachers hold the line? How many of them are left? Canadian children have already been deprived of the opportunity to learn from the courageous teachers of our times who are the influential and inspirational voices of reason and resistance, such as Jim McMurtry, Caroline Burjoski, and Chanel Pfahl.
The future will ultimately pass judgment on our actions- or lack thereof- just as the present scrutinizes historical events. We are accountable, whether through active participation or passive silence and will face the consequences in some form. There is no use pretending otherwise. The innocence is drained from our children with the highly explicit sexual books and discussion, they are raised as undereducated individuals reliant on the state for help, their addiction to screens and learned helplessness is becoming deeply ingrained, their childhood is lost, and their bodies and brains are directly and indirectly altered while self-hate and confusion are celebrated, the delusion of self-identification phenomena is taking over, and school boards (even universities and government officials) endorse drag story times. Ironically, these centrally imposed ideologies predominantly harm those whom they purport to protect. The most affected students are usually the most vulnerable due to a variety of factors such as their socioeconomic status, lack of support at home, emotional well-being, creative and gifted minds, most confused, most distressed, most isolated, most susceptible to influence, or their parents' unquestioning trust in the education system.
The deplorable state of our education system- and I dare say our country- did not happen overnight, it evolved through incremental steps which at times appeared innocent and even compassionate and it has triumphed only because all the good men and women remained silent, yielded, and have allowed these parasitic doctrines to prevail! Teachers, you bear a responsibility toward the students entrusted to your care, the parents who place their trust in you, and to your own principles. If your workplace restricts you from speaking the truth, then at the very least, refrain from spreading lies. Compliance in such circumstances is an act of negligence. Do not compromise your integrity for the sake of conformity. Teachers, you have no right to - as some of the school posters advertise “ help students change their names”. Do not play along to get along! As Fulton J Sheen rightfully said: “If you don't behave as you believe, you will end by believing as you behave.”
Merely, wearing a pink, purple or orange-coloured shirt once a year, chanting a catchy slogan that says children matter or dedicating specific months to different cultures, does not cut it. If every child truly mattered, we would not repeat the errors of the past, nor would we engage in and endorse the disastrous wrongdoing of our peculiar era- an era that is rapidly resembling a modernized version of similar doctrines embraced by the totalitarian regime from which I fled.

Thank you for this piece, laying bare institutional mission creep of OUR public schools and “broken system” on a literal neo-crusade. I can speak to this at length but in sum: Both of my withheld children have been indoctrinated, indeed alienated against the Orders of the Supreme Court by state agents (school board, Ministry of Children Family & Development as well as the RCMP Liaison Program with a designate ‘Informer type’ embedded in the elementary school system of North Vancouver, BC, Canada), and the opposing party, who, as a female within the context of a social housing community with a university degree is able to utilize the “broken system” which preys upon families racked by separation and Divorce law, then aids “mother” using the School Act to further shield all contact from the paternal family with impunity against the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Law of the Land Section (52) of our Constitution of 1982. All under the auspices of the “woke”, catch all. This trending era of blind ignorance and conformity, I draw comparison to the early Inquisition period of auto de fe in the 15th Century. I will expound on this in greater detail in a different medium to hopefully reach another less informed audience.
