In many cultures, there is a saying that goes, "You reap what you sow." While there's certainly an element of luck involved in this process, in a general sense, it holds true; you can't expect oranges if you plant apples. Nor can you expect flourishing if all you do is destroy. Though this observation seems obvious, our Prime Minister blindly kept pushing “diversity is Canada's strength” down our throats (Canadians understand that diversity is our strength. We know that Canada has succeeded—culturally, politically, economically—because of our diversity, not in spite of it) to the point that I feel gagged, and possibly the whole country does too. As for our Prime Minister's claim of our success in the areas of culture, politics, and economy because of our diversity, not only is there no sign of the said success, but even worse, his insistence on DEI has divided this nation into isolated tribal ethnic, racial, gender confused, sexual obsessed groups, to say the least. Moreover, I can't fathom how people didn't (and some still don't) realize that by narrowly focusing on diversity, our society would only reap division.
Unfortunately, that's precisely what has occurred, evidenced by the emergence of massive rallies across our nation where individuals align themselves solely with their ethnic identity, expressing animosity towards other fellow Canadians based on their diverse ethnic backgrounds. Although I cannot describe what happened on Oct 7/2023 as anything but a horrific demonizing terrorist attack, I refrain from delving into the current issues surrounding the war in the Middle East, recognizing my lack of qualifications to do justice to such profound and complex matters. However, I can offer commentary on the observable reality surrounding me daily—a nation more divided than ever before. The rise of anti-Semitism and what comes across as tolerance for those who not only openly disrespect this great nation and its history but also mistake the freedom of assembly and expression with shouting hateful comments at others. These are the people who take advantage of the kind, polite (or possibly naive) Canadians and turn protesting into threatening and abuse free speech with not sure what on earth this could be called. Though this division may exist among a minority, it is a vocal, ungrateful, and, to a certain extent, ignorant minority. Yet, it is precisely this minority that garners attention, fuels chaos, and unleashes havoc. Not to mention the overt expression of hate and lack of respect for the country they are so fortunate to call home, Canada.
It is important to note that the person in the videos accessible through the embedded links was arrested and the Toronto Police news release states that he also failed to comply with his probation order. A theme that has become common in our society as it seems that our government compensates criminals and punishes patriots. One may wonder whether such events are truly unfolding in Canada. The disheartening yet appropriate answer is, indeed, yes. What else could one reasonably expect? Continuously emphasizing and exacerbating our differences hardly fosters national unity.
It is shameful to witness people who seem to be hell-bent against anything and everything Western civilization offers and stands for choose to move here and not only claim victimhood but even worse, wreak havoc. An open-border country is a country without borders—an ill-advised strategy that any sensible household would be wary of. The government’s job is to protect its people; therefore, scrutiny and comprehensive background checks of immigration applicants are imperative. While maintaining one’s tradition and culture, requiring assimilation into the society of the country that is hosting one, with an emphasis on learning about and respecting its history, laws, and people, seems like the obvious better seeds to plant. However, that is if one believes a united, proud, strong, and free Canada is what our governing elected officials actually aim to reap.
A united, proud, strong, and free Canada could not be controlled, manipulated, and conditioned. A united nation would not rally against its own people, nor would it chant for the destruction of Canada. A united nation would not tolerate the Prime Minister’s violation of its Charter of Rights and Freedoms. A united, proud, strong, and free Canada would pay attention, learn about what is happening and hold its government accountable for its shortcomings and wrongdoings. A unified nation would be awake, alert and on guard for its country.
Diversity is not our strength, it is his.

The author writes: “It is shameful to witness people who seem to be hell-bent against anything and everything Western civilization offers and stands for choose to move here and not only claim victimhood but even worse, wreak havoc.” Both the federal government and the NDP government in B.C. where I live are pushing race-based hiring quotas, so those who come here and bash Canada are above all serving their own interests and using their false victimhood to make it particularly hard for old stock male Canadians to find meaningful work. Schools promote this woke communism by describing our country’s present and past as an immoral racist wasteland. One antidote is to promote Canada as “united, proud, strong, free.” Another is to treat Canadians equally and without regard for colour or ethnicity.
No prime minister has torn Canada apart more than Trudeau. The absolute worst.
