National Parents Rights Virtual Summit 2024
Presented by the Parents Rights Coalition of Canada
By
This coming Saturday January 27th from 12 pm to 4pm the Parents Rights Coalition of Canada will be presenting the first annual National Parents Rights Virtual Summit. An event promising to hit the most contentious notes in the parents rights discourse. It is open now for registration so be sure to sign up.
The presentations will begin with Melanie Bennet, co-host of the weekly Canadian Gender Wars Report, who will talk about Ontario's new federally-funded Trans-Affirming tool kit now being used to “educate” Ontario K-12 teachers.
National Post columnist Jamie Sarkonak wrote about the tool kit yesterday and posted the following to X:
Social justice scholars at Western University recently made a 90-page "toolkit" to help teachers integrate gender ideology into the classroom. It's loaded with inaccuracies about history and biology, but it's being circulated to teachers anyway.
Sarkonak describes these inaccuracies as “glaring” and the “nearly-100 pages” as “dripping with social justice theory, leftist identity politics and various false claims about biology, history and sex.” And even worse, “the toolkit goes on to explain that the presumption that people are either men (if their sex is male) or women (if their sex is female), is racist.”
Quoted directly from the tool kit - “Gender binary is a colonial and white supremacist structure rather than a natural and indisputable truth.”
And also - “European settlers forced their rigid views on gender upon the civilizations they invaded, reforming Indigenous gender roles through colonial restrictions as a tool to align patriarchal family and kinship structures that mirrored the privileged European family systems during the time of invasion.”
Wow! What a load of nonsense. I look forward to seeing how Melanie untangles this mess of a “tool kit.”
There will also be a presentation on books and libraries. Specifically the sexually explicit age-inappropriate books found in Canadian school libraries. The presentation will include information on where and how to find the books in question. This phenomenon continues to be thoroughly investigated by the prolific Canadian researcher (and father) Pierre Barns. I have covered Pierre’s work several times in these pages.
To illustrate how controversial this issue has become, and the challenges faced by parents working to solve the problem, in this week's episode of the Gender Wars Report, co-host Shannon Boschy brought up a recent MSNBC viral moment of the infamous American media personality Joy Reid interviewing Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice. The interview concerns the highly sexualized inappropriate books that have also appeared in American school libraries. Parents south of the border are organized and outraged. Here is a clip of the interview:
Notice how journalists don’t even bother to actually conduct an interview? It’s all antagonism, interruption and accusation, in every sense this resembles badgering, while in no sense does it resemble a professional interview. Joy Reid has zero interest in anything Mom’s for Liberty has to say. She doesn’t want to understand their position like a good reporter would. And notice how hard she fights for your children’s right to access depraved and deviant sexually explicit graphic novels and books in their school libraries. It’s mind-blowing degenerate insanity that raises many disturbing questions and shows just how morally divided our society is.
Unfortunately, the more one learns about the gender and race Social Justice ideology infesting the school system, the more disturbing it becomes. My piece What age should kids learn about "felching?" shows many disgusting examples of the perversion and sexual degeneracy included in modern education materials designed for kids.
The event on Saturday also features two presentations, one from Shannon Boschy, on “Communication Tools, AI & the Information War,” and the other from father and retried lawyer, Justdad7, on “Evidence-Based Canadian School Guidance.”
Also two special appearances. One, a presentation “Dealing with Weaponized Human Rights Allegations,” by Canadian law professor, Bruce Pardy. And the other by Professor David Haskell, on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, called “DEI- While the Iron is Hot.”
And lastly, there will be a “Panel Presentation” on “Successful Parent Pushback & Engagement.”
This inaugural National Parents Rights Virtual Summit promises be a packed four-hour event full of essential information needed to empower parents navigating the Social Justice insanity in our embattled Canadian education system.
For parents who have long been aware of the madness, and for the uninitiated alike, this Saturday’s virtual summit is guaranteed to be illuminating! So mark your calendars and don’t forget to sign up.

I think I'm reasonably tough, and I've winced my way through a lot of media for research purposes and for the sake of hearing what all sides have to say . . . but I couldn't make it past 4 minutes watching that MSNBC interviewer. Wow.
Sarkonak: "Social justice scholars at Western University recently made a 90-page "toolkit" to help teachers integrate gender ideology into the classroom".
Calling the people who put this tripe together "scholars" is an insult to scholarship. They are activist propagandists with a radical far-left agenda.
